Employees raise $1,000 for cancer survivors
For the third consecutive year, Burlington Labs employees will be competing in the annual Dragon Boat Festival on Lake Champlain, a group paddling competition to raise money for cancer survivors in Vermont.
This year, those participating on our paddling team, plus many other employees, added a new element to the fundraising aspect of this event: a Classy Closet Sale, in which employees donated clothing they no longer wear, to be re-sold for a great cause.

It's a beautiful day to shop at the Courthouse Plaza in Burlington!
Donated clothing items included Michael Kors purses, brand-name clothing for men, women, kids and babies, and even a leather jacket worn (and autographed) by legendary ski and snowboard filmmaker Warren Miller. The sale ran for three days - the first day for Burlington Labs employees, the second two days open to the public - and the effort raised $975, putting the team's fundraising total over the $1,000 mark.
Those funds will go directly to Dragonheart Vermont and will be credited to the Burlington Labs Dragon Boat paddling team, known as The Urinators.
If you would like to support this great cause or learn more about the race in August, you can visit the Dragon Boat Festival website at www.ridethedragon.org, or donate directly to the Burlington Labs Urinators on their fundraising page.
